We have had a few instances, where (mostly) the Shadow Players (2vs2) use mixed armies to move twice, before one of the Free Players get his turn.
1) For instance: There is a large Rohan Army in Fords of Isen, and Helms Deep is emtpy. In Edoras there are 2 S&E regulars, and 1 Sauron Regular. It's the S&E turn, so he moves the entire army into West, and then the Elves/Gondor player gets turn, which means nothing, and the the Sauron player can take the 1 regular out of the mixed army, and into Helm's Deep. So the Orc just moved twice in a row, without the Rohan player getting a turn.. I can't find anything in the rules to prohobit this, but it just seems wrong.
2) If you have a mixed army of say 6+4 units, can the player with 4 units, move those 4 out, and take 3 of the other units with him ? (thus allowing the army to move each Shadown turn, just dropping 1 unit each turn)
3) When sieging with a mixed army, are there any rules when removing casulties ? 3a) If not, the attacking player can casulties, so the army becomes his partners, and then the partner can attack with the army - again allowing an attack each round (if there are casulties). 3b) If the army becomes your partners, during your attack, are you still allowed to downgrade to continue the attack, since it s still your turn and it's your attack ?

It's the S&E turn, so he moves the entire army into West, and then the Elves/Gondor player gets turn, which means nothing, and the the Sauron player can take the 1 regular out of the mixed army, and into Helm's Deep. So the Orc just moved twice in a row, without the Rohan player getting a turn.. I can't find anything in the rules to prohobit this, but it just seems wrong. This seems legal. If you have a mixed army of say 6+4 units, can the player with 4 units, move those 4 out, and take 3 of the other units with him ? (thus allowing the army to move each Shadown turn, just dropping 1 unit each turn) No. If the player with the fewer units separates them by moving away, he may only move his units. Mixed Armies can only be formed after an action or if the Region containing the units is attacked. They cannot be formed by splitting them off from an existing Army. When sieging with a mixed army, are there any rules when removing casulties ? I would imagine that the controlling player decides casualties. If not, the attacking player can casulties, so the army becomes his partners, and then the partner can attack with the army - again allowing an attack each round (if there are casulties). This seems legal, assuming the controlling player took enough casualties for the other player to gain a majority and assume control. If the army becomes your partners, during your attack, are you still allowed to downgrade to continue the attack, since it's still your turn and it's your attack ? I would say that control would transfer at the end of the action, so it would still be yours until you conclude the attack. These aren't "official" answers, just my interpretation of the rules as written. Hope this helps!
