Help! We are overwhelmed with the Expansion!
This is some of the things that happened to us:
- several Shadow sieges stalled (or at least took several more dice to win), due to the new rules with ballistas & siege towers. What are we doing wrong?
- the Ents never seems to do much good? We never let Saruman use his Muster Ability, so the Ent never becomes a factor. Still, with the Dunlendings, Saruman seems to be able to easily conquer Rohan anyway? What are we doing wrong?
- The DEW line is still the easiest target, for Shadow, isn't it??
- Lorien seems impenetrable, if Galadriel makes a showing on Turn 1 or Turn 2. Right?
- The FSP is MUCH better protected, corruption-wise (with Smeagol tiles and all). It is rather impossible to corrupt the FSP now, isn't it?? The alternative WK (the FSP-hunter), while improving these odds, is MUCH inferior to the General-WitchKing. Isn't he?

- several Shadow sieges stalled (or at least took several more dice to win), due to the new rules with ballistas & siege towers. What are we doing wrong? The Shadow should have more musters to use than the FP and shouldn't start too many siege attacks when the FP has superiority. The Siege Engine tie rule which lets the FP sacrifice one to get superiority should be the only thing to worry about for the Shadow. Always hit the least defended Strongholds. - the Ents never seems to do much good? We never let Saruman use his Muster Ability, so the Ent never becomes a factor. Still, with the Dunlendings, Saruman seems to be able to easily conquer Rohan anyway? What are we doing wrong? Use the Voice before the Ents are brought into play. Saruman should be able to attack Rohan quickly with force and it should be costly for the FP to defend. You are not doing anything wrong. - The DEW line is still the easiest target, for Shadow, isn't it?? Correct, but beware of the new "Ranger sof the North" event card it is strong and made to protect the DEW if you are lucky to get it in time. - Lorien seems impenetrable, if Galadriel makes a showing on Turn 1 or Turn 2. Right? The Shadow usually can afford to throw enough at Lorien, or get them to muster those precious Eleven Elites so the other Elven Strongholds become easier pickings. - The FSP is MUCH better protected, corruption-wise (with Smeagol tiles and all). It is rather impossible to corrupt the FSP now, isn't it?? The alternative WK (the FSP-hunter), while improving these odds, is MUCH inferior to the General-WitchKing. Isn't he? The new W-K is genrealy weaker than the old version but once ion a blue moon he gets to shine. It is still possible to corrupt the Fellowship as the FP player now has more viable options for the Companions, they can be used to good advantage outside teh Fellowship since it is less threatened by corruption. The wise Shadow player keeps a few anti-Fellowship cards fro the right moment when a few Companions have separated. It is quite satisfying to use "Breaking of the Fellowship" and draw a 3 tile right after your opponent separated Strider and a hobbit. [glow=green,2,300]Veldrin[/glow]
