Please forgive this basic question. I have played WotR a number of times but am new to this forum. What is the DEW Line refered to in posts and articles on Strategy. Also, I have a couple of long posts (or short articles, if you will) on Strategy. Is this the proper place for these or is there a word limit to posts here.
Thank you

DEW is shorthand for "Dale, Erebor, and Woodland Realm", they're the most tightly clustered, politically balkanized, and lightly defended grouping of victory points on the map.
There's an infamous strategy called "DEW North", where Mordor marches half of its initial armies all the way up to the DEW line.

Welcome to the board, and feel free to post your articles here. There are a few people around here who are quite well versed in WotR so your articles will probably be read and commented on.

Thank you very much for your answer. It is most useful as it applies to the topic of my proposed future post: The Absurdity of Victory Points. This is just another example of how Victory Points distort the spirit of the books and the strategy of the game; they should be abolished.

I belive that we need VP. Maybe it is different than in movie or books, but it important aspect of the game.
