i was playing wotr for about the 10th time & some new situations came up.
1. for clarification; if lorien is under siege from sauron forces & the fellowship declares at the beginning of a turn, should they be allowed to heal 1pt? (we assumed yes because the stronghold was still in fp's control).
2. the fp player wanted to muster 2 regular elves on an action die, however there was only 1 elite left in the reinforcement pool. is the fp player allowed to break down that elite elve into 2 regulars from the casualty pool?
3.clarification needed- if gandalf the white is in a battle with a shadow army that has nazgul; does his power remove the ability of a battle card that allows the nazgul leadership to be sacrificed for bonuses added to combat rolls? (we believe gandalf has that power)

1 Yes, as long as the Stronghold is in FP control you can Heal there.
2 No, he can however muster the last Elven Regular and another Reguar/Leader from another Nation at war.
3 Yes, if Gandalf uses his ability to negate Nazgûl Leadership all battle effects that are dependent on Nazgûl become useless. This is explained in a newly added question to the FAQ.

2 No, he can however muster the last Elven Regular and another Reguar/Leader from another Nation at war. [glow=green,2,300]Veldrin[/glow] Original question was: So your answer isn't quite right. The correct answer (I think) is No, the Elite has to be mustered as an elite - breakdown is not allowed for any nation. Nigel

Well, my answer to his question was NO, I then continued to explain how he could use the additional muster posibilities. Perhaps I was a bit unclear.
