I think the Collector's Edition should come complete with the Expac. It would be easy to fit both Rohan and Gondor maps on the back of the main map. I do though think, there should be the option to play the old main game, as its easier to teach newbie's.

You lack the correct answer, the Collector's Edition will allow you to play both the base game as well as the base game with the expansion parts (Balrog, Galadriel, Siege Engines etc.).
You will not be able to play the Battles of Gondor/Rohan games.

Veldrin, are they going to make a collector's edition then of the Expac? Painted and all?

Only the parts from the expansion that work with the main game (Balrog, Ents, Siege Engines, Black Ships etc.).

Heh. The most important question by far is what the retail price is going to be. The cost of painting that many figures with so much beautiful detail scares me...
I may have to, reluctantly, pass on the Collector's Edition.

Seeing how I personally wrote Roberto requesting exactly this type of map (I have no idea if they actually read it), I have no choice but to buy the game. Life is too short to play on a small map!! I have already put my game up for sale.

He who plans on Nexus Editrice's release date promises is bound for severe disappointment. Seriously, Duke Nukem Forever might come out first.
