I was reading the FAQs last night and was confused by this answer....
"Q What happens if at the end of a turn the Shadow has accumulated 10 Victory points and the Free Peoples have accumulated 4 Victory Points, both sides having achieved their Military Victory Conditions?
A The rules clearly states (under Winning the Game on page 21) that the lower-numbered Victory Conditions take precedence over higher-numbered Victory Conditions so in this specific case the Shadow would have emerged victorious from the War of the Ring. "
If the lowered numbered victory condition (4VP for the FP) take precedence over the higher number victory condition (10VP for Shadow), shouldn't the me that the Free People win in this case?
My understanding of "take precedence over" means it takes priority, or out ranks the other?

The "numbered Victory Condidtion" refer to the four condidtions written in the rules, not the number of accumulated victory points by the players.
