I was happy to here the new enlarged map will shrink the outside regions and widen the middle regions (where most of the large armies are anyways). I am really excited about these changes. Veldrin, I have two questions/ requests:
1. As many hard core Wotr players, I have painted every figure to a higher standard than any machine could hope to achieve, BUT I desperately want a new board. Would they make an option of buying simply the C.Ed. enlarged board, say $35?
2. Why are the Free peoples card decks on the board way the heck up North. On the new board they will be unreachable. Why not put them beside the hunt box in the ocean for convience sake.?

I am currently looking at the new board suggestion but only how the Regions will be, not where all the boxes are to be put. What I can do is suggest your idea to the designers though. I think it would be a smart move to sell the new board for those who want it. I would buy it.
Oh and hello to everyone \o, nice forum you have here Veldrin.

Thanks, let me know what they say. Also, by putting the box down by the hunt box (FP always sits south, SP always sits to the right) You can extend the map farther West and only take up ocean.

As only more or less a "reading" member of this forum, I´m very surprised to read about your "seating" order (and your request for new postion of the FS card boxes on the board). I do not understand the reasons which led to it. Can you please explain. Of course, if you have that order, the boxes are/will be unreachable for the FSP.
I thought (and we always did) the "normal" seating order is FS player sits north and plays to south; SP vice versa.

I would buy the new cards and new rulebook, and think about the new board. So here it goes. The next guy would buy just the figures and use his old board. Perhaps we should find that guy and split a copy.

It's silly for the FP to sit North as most of his armies are middle and south (Gondor, Rohan, Lothorien). Fighting in the north is usually swift and done by large SP armies sweeping the north). The SP usually sits east as large armies from the East sweep West (Middle and North East).
