Rivendell was being threatened, but not seriously.
I think he declared then because he didn't want the extra tile from a force stronghold reveal, and this was the first time he would not be declaring onto a shadow army.
Magic Geek wins a Shadow Military. Turn 12 Fsp at Mordor Zero.
The opening turn Mr Hunty defined the game, but he did nothing special.
There were a couple of “unusual”happenings, but nothing that actually seemed to change the course of the game.
I placed 2 eyes per turn, after 0 on the first.
Mr Hunty turn 1
Saruman turn 2
King turn 4
Elves to war + Galadriel on turn 5
Barad Dur locks Woodland Realm
Monsters Roused + Mr Hunty + Onslaught took Rivendell on turn 7
Dol Guldur stood north of Lorien, threatening, went south and died killing lots of Rohan.
Rohan fell to Orthanc + Sth Dunland.
Easterling Onslaughted Erebor.
The King went to Rohan then Pelagir, declared war, retook Oz- G a while as the Fsp was at M-T, surrendered Pelagir and hid in M-T.
At this point I was on 9.
Woodland Realm looked OK. 3 elites + a Regular.
Moved the elephant and Mr Hunty from Erebor.
Gandalf Arrived at WR.
The FSP declared in Mordor, so I got the Mouth in Dol Guldur.
The King sprints north, Legolas and Boromir run from Lorien and meet him, all 3 Gwahir their way into Woodland realm.
The Wolves look up from Helms deep and race West, all the way to Grey Havens.
The Shire got 10 HP, Grey Havens was Full.
The King was revealed.
Minas Morgul charged and took Dol Amroth for the win.
Nothing special happened anywhere.
No attacks or card play were lucky.
No Deadly strife, no event attacks, no early WoW, no Ents!
All 3 Ents were used as nasty combat cards.
Onslaught made Siege Engines look crap.
Mr Hunty was Very Strong because I didn't really need his leadership, I did need his Die.
The Balrog helps Galadriel too much, Mr Angry would directly cause Galadriel.
Mr Hunty's abilities were threatened, so they were useful.
I still really like him.
Magic Geek conquers with Shadow, turn 12, Fsp moved once in Mordor.
Turn 1 Galadriel & Saruman
Turn 2 King & Ents, & Angry WK
Turn 3 Dead Aragorn in the Field.
Turn 5 Defend Moria by Massing Troops
Turn 6 Ents kill Saruman
Turn 7 East Conquers Dale,
Turn 9 Conquer Rivendell
Turn 12 Conquer Grey Havens
He had a shot at glory with Aragorn.
And, he had a real go at Moria.
But for most of the game I was going for the comfortable option because I felt safe after wiping Aragorn. He invested so much in the Elves that Gondor was just the better option.
I didn't get much reinforcements, so the 30 troops in the south East really pushed hard.
Ents nailed the small southrons marching toward Greyhavens!
And the Rivendell survivors were the bedraggled conquerers of GreyHavens, after surviving an attack from the Shire.
