- Do hits by pre-combat attacks triggered by combat effects like "Sudden Strike" remove 1 or 2 Dunlendings?
- The FAQ says that siege engine superiority does not influence pre-combat attack rolls like "Sudden Strike". Question: How is the number needed to hit by these pre-combat-rolls determined? Are terrain effects (like attacking a city in the first combat round) applied? Maybe it would help me to list the effects which influence pre-combat-rolls, and the effects, which don't.
Thanks,
Matthias

1): two of them
2)a): when you use Sudden Strike, score hit on 5+ when defending (or when attacking SA army except in 2)b);
2)b): and 6 when attacking SA army which is in fortress or in city (only 1. st round) or in stronghold (any round).

Basically, out-of-turn combat-like rolls are effected by terrain, are not effected by engines, and are not effected by cards which refer specifically to combat and/or leader rolls, e.g. not effected by Deadly Strife, Desperate Battle, and Servant of the Secret Fire.
Note that We Come to Kill specifies its own to-hit number, which overrides terrain: 5 or 6.
