The fellowship had forged through the shadowy halls of Khazad Dum, but as they tried to push out the gates and into Dimril Dale, they were accosted by an evil of the ancient world: A Balrog had come!
In one hand he held a firey whip. In the other hand he held...a small, dejected creature. As the fellowship fled for their lives, the Balrog let hurl the critter into the midst of the fellowship.
"Ow!" exclaimed Sam.
"Stupid Balrogs! We hates it!" exclaimed the creature.
In the midst of the smoke and confusion, one voice was raised above the din: "I move for a vote of no-confidence in our guide Gandalf, and instead elect this misbegotten muppet to be our guide".
Strider: "All in favor?"
All: "Aye!"
Strider "All against?"
None: "..."
Strider: So moved! Our new guide is the muppet!
All: "Huzzah"
Balrog player: "W.T.F.".
And that's how the Balrog hunt tile played out in our last game. Smeagol dominated, too, drawing his other hunt tile once again.
Did we play this correctly? It somehow seems wrong that the Balrog makes positive personell changes in the structure of the fellowship. I don't know, he's pretty old, maybe he's got a degree in psychotherapy or something, and just wants to help people. Bit still it seems wrong!
