Some Battle for Rohan questions

Pg 9: The Free Peoples player may always act first in the Action Resolution step. However, any time a player has fewer unused Action Dice than his opponent, he may pass, doing nothing, and allow the opponent to act instead.

Pg 22: Remember that a Character die in the Shadow Box can still be used as a normal Character Action Die result if you prefer.

Q: Are Action Dice in the Shadow Box counted when determining which player has fewer unused dice?

Example on Pg 15: Since the Army has 2 points of Leadership, the Shadow player may choose to re-roll both Maneuver Dice as his Leader Re-roll to try to succeed in eliminating the Warg Riders.

Q: The word eliminating should be maneuvering, correct?


Q: The border between the West D ike/Deeping Coombe and East D ike/Deeping Stream is a WALL, correct? The Border chart on Pg 20 doesn't mention it.

Pg 22: The Entwood is created in Derndingle when the first Ent is put in play, either by the Free Peoples player using a Muster die result,or as an effect of the Fate Tile he chooses in this
turn.

Q: These two statements contradict each other. Can the FP use a Muster die to CREATE the Entwood in Derndingle?

Pg 23: If a Shadow Army enters (or is recruited in) a Region containing the Entwood, immediately roll for one Ent attack against that Army.

Q: I assume surviving units can then safely stay in the region with the Entwood and that the Ents would have to be activated to attack them again, correct?
I also assume that another army entering that region would cause an immediate attack on the combined army?

Rohan Rules Summary sheet: Partial Muster. Flip one Recruitment token, or place one Recruitment token in one Recruitment Area of the appropriate Nation.

Q: Should the highlighted section be removed, since the FP has no Recruitment Areas in this scenario?

Yes. Once "The Shadow Phase" is over simply put all Action dice in one pool. There is no need to keep them separated.

Yes, it should say to succeed maneouvering with the Warg riders.

It is a D ike, which functions the same way as a wall and it protects from attacks coming from the north.

Yes, but the Ents cannot be activated until Treebeard is in play or through the Merry and Pippin stroy event card.

Yes, this only works in the Gondor scenario. If you compare the Dice summaries for Gondor and Rohan you will find they are identical, probably for cost reason. Why print two versions when they are almost identical?

So, just to be clear, the phrase "if the Entwood is there" should be removed from the rules and summary regarding using the Muster die?

Yes, this only works in the Gondor scenario. If you compare the Dice summaries for Gondor and Rohan you will find they are identical, probably for cost reason. Why print two versions when they are almost identical

I assumed as much, but my question was caused by the fact that the two summaries are not identical (see the scenario specific differences in Army and Muster actions).

No, it has another significance: Once the Entwood is moved from Derndingle, you can't muster Ents with a muster dice anymore. The sentence should have an amendment "or if it has not been created yet".
