In the Gondor scenario, is there a wall between the Causeway Forts and the Pelennor Townlands?
In the Rohan scenario, since the Hornburg is a stronghold, does the d ike between the West D ike and the Hornburg and the East D ike and the Hornburg do anything?
When a stronghold is breached, when does the defensive target move down to 5, immediately, after the combat roll (thus in effect during the leader reroll), or at the start of the next combat round?

In the Gondor scenario, is there a wall between the Causeway Forts and the Pelennor Townlands? Yes. The correct answer is no. In the Rohan scenario, since the Hornburg is a stronghold, does the d ike between the West D ike and the Hornburg and the East D ike and the Hornburg do anything? It is a wall, and if an attack is launched against a previously Breached Hornburg all attacks in the first round would only hit on 6s. When a stronghold is breached, when does the defensive target move down to 5, immediately, after the combat roll (thus in effect during the leader reroll), or at the start of the next combat round? At the start of the next combat round. [glow=green,2,300]Veldrin[/glow]

Do any of the other strongholds in the game also have walls that would work similar to the D ike at the Hornburg (Orthanc, Edoras, Minas Tirith)?

Nope.
In the beginnig of the playtesting the Deeping Wall and the Hornburg were different Regions, and that might be the reason for it still being there.

I thought someone'd already asked about the deeping wall...and got the opposite answer: it has no game effect. I'm too lazy to figure out where though.

You are correct.
The Deeping Wall is only "art" now that the Hornburg is only one Region.
This was settled somewhere over at BGG.

Veldrin - I don't understand why you changed your mind on this. In the rules for the Gondor scenario (page 27, English version) under "The Game Board" the section on borders says: d**e/Wall (troops inside the Pelennor are protected). Why should this not include the Pelennor Townlands? It seems to me that attackers must overcome the fort at Causeway Forts, then come over the wall to get into the Pelennor Fields territory.

If you look closely at the map, you will see that the wall runs along the inside of the borders between the Pelennor Fields Regions and those of the surrounding Territories. This indicates that these Regions are protected by the wall from attacks from the Regions outside. The wall does not, however, run along the inside of the border between Pelannor Townlands and Causeway Forts. The Fort itself is Pelannor Townlands' protection from outside attack from the east. Once it is taken, there is no more protection from that direction.
