I am one of the lucky few who was able to get 2 copies of this extremely rare boardgame. It's one of the 1500 English copies produced worldwide and it is still boxed in the cardboardbox, not even unpacked. I have paid a lot of money for both copies and would part with one of them for 2500 dollar or at least make me a decent offer . I know this is a lot of money but these copies will only gain in value as they are extremely rare and wanted. I have even seen prices of 5000 dollar for a copy.

I was one of the many who did not get a copy of this when it first came out. I added the Collector's Edition to my ebay watch list a few years ago. Every time one goes up for sale on ebay, I am notified. I have seen them listed for as much as $5,000, however, I have never seen one sell for more than $2,600. Keep in mind that you can list an item for as much as you want, but that doesn't mean it will sell. I recently watched one go for just over $1500, and a few days later another one came up for auction, starting at $900, with a "Buy It Now" price of $1270. I snatched that sucker up for around $1300 (with shipping). Whether you're buying or selling, I recommend watching similar items on ebay and keep track of what people are listing them for, but also what they are actually selling for. I have seen a ton of these come up for auction but never sell. Do your homework, and when one becomes available for a reasonable price, get it. If you're a seller, see what they're going for and then list for a reasonable price. Keep in mind that the holiday season is a great time for sellers, and summer is a great time for buyers. I would also expect the price to go up a bit after the Hobbit movies come out, as this will kindle people's interest. Good luck to all sellers and seekers of the game, and remember to be patient! The One Ring wasn't destroyed in a day.
