I've already bought this game and prepare to first battle for Minas Tirith :-)
i have a question about Battles in stronghold's. In WotR attacker must spend one Character Action Dice (Or Army) to attack Stronghold, and battle is over after one round (to continue the attack must degrade Elite units or in next turn spend Ch AD). in Expansion battles for Strongholds continue to the death of one/both sides?
2nd question :-) Elite and regular units are die after one hit, only difference is Combat Strength?
3rd question In Game Turn is wrote: Players Roll their action dice. The Shadow Player takes all the dice showing a "Character" die result and adds them to the shadow box.
but in the scenario Battle For Gondor is wrote(under the Shadow Special Actions): Shadow Player may use a Character Die result in the action resolution step to move alle the Nazgul and Minions.
i figure it out, that SP uses Character AD from Shadow Box to uses Specjal Abilities of Commander_in_Chief. So, Character AD may be used to perform Shadow Special Actions too?
Correct Me Please. Best Regards Pav

Yes, it is like normal battle in the "new" game except for the Stronghold rules. 2nd question :-) Elite and regular units are die after one hit, only difference is Combat Strength? No, there are no Elites and Regulars, only different troop types and each unit can take two hits. From the rules: "5) APPLY DAMAGE AND CASUALTIES For each hit inflicted on an Army, place one Damage Counter in the Region of that Army. During this step of the combat sequence, a player may decide to take casualties, eliminating one Unit from an Army and removing two Damage Counters from that Army. Mandatory Casualties An Army can take damage up to the number of Units in the Army without losing any troops, but as soon as the number of Damage Counters exceeds the number of Units, the Army must take casualties and lose Units. The player must take casualties (removing one Unit of his choice and two Damage Counters), and continue to do so until the number of Damage Counters becomes equal or lower than the number of surviving Units in the Army." 3rd question In Game Turn is wrote: Players Roll their action dice.
