Hey Gang, I have started a lengthy thread at board game geek regarding the Intro Rules. With a number of "casual gamers" in my family and circle of friends, I wanted to enjoy WotR but knew that knowledge and understanding of the cards, while certainly wonderful for adding strategy and atmosphere to the gaming experience, also lift the level of complexity above the casual mark. So I was happy when I glanced through the Intro rules; which on first reading look very interesting and fun. However, it took only a short time to discover the obvious play-balance problems. Hence, the developement of my RIG - Revised Intro Game rules. In addition to the Forum thread, I have posted two Files that form an 8.5 x 11 Game Card for use with the rules. One side is a table outlining the "one-time" use of each of the 8 FP Characters. The other side does the same for the 3 SP Characters, plus an area at the bottom specifically listing each of the 3 Special Rules that must be followed. We have found that the addition of these rules, while kicking up the amount of brain-power expended in comparison with the FFG Intro Rules, still keeps the game in the managable Casual realm. The RIG both playbalances the game nicely, and adds a chance for each Character to have his one moment. As of today, the most current chart files are SP v1.2 and FP v1.3 I would be very happy to hear anyone's comments, opinions and/or suggestions. Thanks, RIK
