My first house rule is a slight modification of the rule Veldrin explains below (Rules Questions - Retreat into Enemy Nation): (...) You can never flee/retreat into a Region containing an enemy army or an enemy Settlement unless you have captured that settlement prior to your retreat. You can however retreat/flee into a Region inside an enemy nation if the Region does not contain an enemy army or Settlement. [glow=green,2,300]Veldrin[/glow] House Rule: An army may retreat into a region which is part of an enemy nation, only if the army is not able to retreat into a neutral or friendly region. "Enemy" vs. "friend" is this case means the free people player(s) vs. the evil forces player(s). In this case the army may also retreat into a region containing an enemy settlement, as long as there is no enemy army, of course.
