Existenz, You are right. I was finally able to access the FAQ (it was down yesterday). However, one final question: If Saruman is in Orthanc, and Orthanc is beseiged by an enemy force, doesn't Saruman get destroyed? According to the FAQ, he can never die, except through the use of an Ent card. But how does an enmey army occupy Orthanc, if he can neve leave? Saruman is subjected to all the rules which other characters are subjected to. The general rule is: if a character is involved into a battle and the army he leads (characters always became leaders if they are in a region occupied by an allied army) loses the battle, he dies; if a character is alone into a region, he's not influenced by enemy armies. So, if Saruman is alone in Orthanc, he's more vulnerable to Ent cards, but in case of a siege from a FP army, he survives; if, conversely, Saruman leads a SA army in Orthanc, he's forced to retreat into the Stronghold when besieged, and if his army is defeated he dies and can never come back into play. So, if you want to be safe, you have to leave Saruman in Orthanc with at least 4 regulars
