A Power Too Great and the Return to Valinor

Hi Folks,

we had the following situation. The shadow besieged Lorien and "A Power too great" ws played. This stopped any further attack, but the Army was still in the Lorien area. What happens if "Return to Valinor" or "Dreadful Spells" empty Lorien from elvish units? Is Lorien automatically conquered?

Yes.

When ever I've been in that situation i.e Lorien under siege and then 'A power too great' is played, I've immediately moved the shadow army -without use of a die out of Lorien.   So the situation described above could not occur.  Is this wrong?

Yes, it's wrong. The card keeps Shadow Armies from attacking or moving in (including reinforcements to an existing Army), but it doesn't force an existing Army out.
