And who is the strongest leader? Gandalf the White? Aragorn? Or is Saruman or the Witch King their equal? In the book (and the movies), it always seemed as if Mordor had the bigger armies, but the Free Peoples had the better leaders which helped compensate.
Gandalf the White cancels all Nazgûl leader combat re-rolls and is awesome against them! Aragorn has 2 leader re-rolls and also acts as an extra army Both give extra action dice Saruman is needed to allow the Isengard elite to double as leaders and also has some reinforcement benefits The Witch King has 2 leader re-rolls and is able to draw one card for its battle effect at the start of each battle Both again give extra action dice Judge for yourself! One advantage for the good guys is that every detachable member of the Fellowship can act as a leader and several of the battle effects require one of the companions to be present

Can you tell us the location for the different armies at the beginning of the game ? Have the players the choice ?
The set up is shown on my pictures of the playtest in the playtest re-run section. This initial set up is the same for each game (I did miss the single unit out of Helm's Deep!)
How can I follow the moving of the Fellowship on the map ? It seems to be invisible for the 2 players...
Say you begin in Rivendell and then move 3 spaces on the movement track at the top of the board. If the Fellowship is now revealed it can appear on the board up to 3 spaces in any direction from Rivendell. The quickest way is Moria but this can be quite dangerous so you may prefer the Goblin Gate or even moving south towards Isengard
Is it a game for 2 players, or more ?
2-4 players: 3 is the FP against 2 dark power players & 4 is 2 teams - Gondor/Elves and Rohan/North/Dwarves against Sauron and Sauron's allies
What are the goals of the game? Have the 2 players objectives to carry out? Or is it only the destruction of the opponent armies??
The primary aim of the FP player is to destroy the Ring in Mount Doom
The goal of the SF player is to conquer strongholds (2 victory points) and cities (1 vp) and wins with 10 vp's He can also win by corrupting the fellowship with 12 corruption points from successful hunts
There is also a small chance of an FP military victory by taking 4 vp's from the SF player

Thanks much for the information! I am beginning to formalize a much better idea of the game now - it sounds quite fun.
I find the interplay between strategic movement and battles coupled with the strategic play of cards/abilities to be enticing. It sounds well done thus far and I can't wait to see it in action myself.
Thanks also for the updates on the site! Not sure how often those will keep coming, but between the map, the card and the strategic overviews you are giving us a good idea of the flavor of the game!

Thank you for the apretiation shown, I hope that the sneak peeks and the updates will keep coming but it is mostly in the hands of the designers whom I recieve most of the material from.
