Two sets of game and reducing elites.

Let's say I had two sets of this game and thus extra units.

Would you consider it ok, if I used those extra regulars for purpose of reducing elites? It sounds a bit gamey rule (though necessary) that if you wan't to reduce an elite, you must choose a regular from reinforcements if there are no regulars in casualties. It's obviously there because of the component limit, not because it makes sense. Elves especially suffer from this.

Or do you think it would benefit FP too much?

The component limits follow the design, not the other way around. The figure mix is intentional. The Elves are a powerful but fragile force. Changing the figure mix thwarts the designers' intent.
