Overrule bad decisions. At this point you're on a level playing field with the designers.

Yes, that is entirely true.
But.
The point of this excercise is to make a complete and useable set of the ACTUAL RULES. I am not planing on fixing or improving them.
I just dont know what some of the rules are. I mean, we dont play it like that, but I think the Actual Rules should be as the Designers want them to be.
Some of the problems occur when designers have done exactly as you wish.
We are the Swifter is how I read the card. If I ever played you, We are the Sexier can be in your hand.
When I play, the Mouth can appear when the FSP is in Mordor. When you play, the Mouth can appear when the FSP is on the Mordor Track.
I play as the rules say. You play as the rules were meant to be.
I play that when ents attack, everybody dies.(Nazgul, Balrog. . ) I dont know how you or anybody else plays. Or what the rules are or should be.
Same with gollum + Hobbits. I play as the rules say. Still not sure what the rules are.
Heavily reworked the rules, BTW.
Not sure if I should put everything in the sequence of play, or strip everything out of the sequence of play and use it as an index. Slightly smaller again, and includes more stuff.

I have started work on rewriting the expansion rules. Not as bad as the originals, still needs some help though. I should have the base game FAQ compression done sometime soon.
Anyhoo,
Galadriel has a very odd set of rules stating that she does not count as a companion for events, she only counts as a companion for Combat Cards. This particularly baroque set of rules currently has the sum total effect of not allowing her to get "the Eagles", that's it. Just maybe there will be more cards that she may not be able to use, but right now it does seem a spectacular over reaction.
Why not just have "Galadriel counts as a companion, except she cannot summon eagles". Technically she cant use through a day and a night either, but she cant leave Lorien so that is irrelevent too.

In general, characters that can't move are lame.
Sometimes I toy with an idea of Elrond - exactly like Galadriel, but for Rivendell. Except he should be able to take it on the lam.
